Board Member (deceased)
Ronni Denes passed away February 26, 2018. She was a dedicated board member and served as the chair of Westbeth for four years and co-chaired with Carmi Bee for two years. She will be remembered for her commitment to the Westbeth community as well as her deep commitment to education for poor and minority students.

DENES--Ronni C.,died, too soon, on February 26, 2018, at MSK embraced by the loves of her life, son, Jesse and daughter-in-law Ali. Adored daughter of the late Sylvia and Herbert Shernoff, loving sister of Ed (Elaine) and Frank (Mia), beloved aunt, colleague, mentor and dear friend, Ronni was born in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated with a BA from American University and an MA from Columbia. After teaching in the New York City public school system Ronni went on to succeed in her mission to expand educational opportunities for all students which she accomplished with much professional respect and recognition as the Director of Communications at National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc (NACME); Vice President of External Affairs at The Cooper Union and ultimately as President of the not-for-profit, New Jersey SEEDS. Funeral services today, 11am at the Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, NYC. Interment following at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY.
